Now Open- Shannon Village Market

This may be old news for those of you on the North side of Visalia...The Shannon Village Market located on the corner of Mooney and Riggin, just opened not too long ago. My first experience was yesterday when I got gas at Valero. Everything is very clean, nice and up to par with technology. The location definitely fulfilled me need of quick and convenient. Because I was in a hurry I did not get to test out the new hands free car wash (which you can purchase a ticket at the gas pump)or taste Super Taco. Like most Valeros, gas was reasonably priced (yesterday it was 3.89 per gallon for unleaded-cash).
I am looking forward to see what follows next! This part of town is expanding rapidly, with the Sports park close by, the Target Shopping center further East, and now Mooney Blvd is extending north past Riggins up to the new Centex model homes.....I wonder....how long do you think the walnut tress from Mooney Blvd to Dinuba Blvd will last. Also, Birdland (South of Riggin) doesn't have the greatest reputation, do you think all this expansion will improve the neighborhood or the other way around? What are your thoughts Visalia?
